Join us for the LumberJaxe Open: Sunday, September 4th, 2022 (Labour Day Weekend)!
We're at it again! The 3rd annual LumberJaxe Open aims to provide a fun focused tournament for axe throwing enthusiasts of all skill levels to come together to compete in a single-day tournament of BlackJaxe.
The BlackJaxe game will be familiar to all those Sport of Axe Throwing enthusiasts who are familiar with Blackjack or 21. The BlackJaxe game, played in teams of two (NOT doubles) and has proved to be an exciting spin on axe throwing which rewards strategy and gamesmanship in addition to axe throwing skill. Last year we had participants who throw with IATF, WATL, and IKTHOF. All are welcome! Whether you’re an elite thrower or you’re new to the sport, we hope to make this tournament fun for everyone!
Tournament Format: BlackJaxe Game (a.k.a. blackjack, 21) played in teams of 2.
Date: Sunday September 4th, 2022 (Labour Day Sunday)
Time: 12:30pm Sign-in & Practice Opens. 2pm Tournament Start.
Location: LumberJaxe Ottawa, 250 City Centre Ave.
Entry: $100+HST per team of two. Solo entrants can register for 55$ and be paired with a partner.
Included for each thrower:
- A LumberJaxe Open T-Shirt
- Drink Ticket sponsored by TBD
- Free practice during the whole event! Use any of our available lanes to practice or challenge your friends to exhibition matches on our LumberJaxe target.
Prizes: The winners will receive a trophy and take home an Axe & Beer Package, with plenty of other small prizes to be given away.

Once you purchase a ticket (either for team or solo) we'll follow up with you for team participants, team name, t-shirt sizing, etc.
